How to Set Yourself Up for Success
It’s simple. It’s so simple you’ll probably think it’s ridiculous that I’m saying it. On the other hand, I’m about $2000 richer because of it so it’s hard to argue. What did it take to start a zero-day profitable blog?
A week’s worth of planning.
That was it. Blog Design Guy went from an idea to a fully functioning blog in about two weeks. The first week was nothing but writing. I answered key questions that can more or less guarantee whether or not you’ll be a successful blogger. I gave each set of questions a day to themselves so that I could think hard about them and research anything I might need to know before I decided on my answers.
I attribute my success directly to having successfully answered these questions that first week. Whether you’re an aspiring blogger who hasn’t gotten started yet or an established blogger who is struggling to monetize your blog, nothing will get you on the right path better than answering these core questions.
What are these questions? Well, if I told you outright, you might not get why I believe they are so important. If I tried to explain in a blog post the rationale behind each question, I’d probably be talking to myself. Most readers would just quickly skip over everything and head straight to the questions without bothering to understand the method that makes them so vital.
I want to help bloggers do what I did. I also want to make sure that only the people who actually care get to learn my planning methodology. So instead of offering it all up in a forgettable, scannable blog post, I’ve been working hard to turn it into a full-fledged video course with daily homework.
